Program Educational Objectives


The objectives of the Electrical Engineering/ Communication and Computer program are:

  • Technical knowledge and skills – The graduates will attain basic knowledge in electrical engineering principles, math and basic sciences. The graduates will learn basic skills necessary for problem solving, project design and develop practical plans to take advantage of the technical knowledge and various skills acquired..
  • Preparation for the profession – The graduates will get enough knowledge and skills to enable them to identify and solve problems that arise in professional practice, train them how to function as a team and develop their awareness of the ethical requirements of their profession. All this will guide them to acquire enough skills for leadership in their career path.
  • Preparation for Graduate Studies – The graduates will acquire sufficient breadth and depth background which will enable them to succeed in subsequent graduate, and post-graduate studies and lifelong learning programs.

 

 

1. Technical knowledge and skills – The graduates will attain basic knowledge in electrical engineering principles, math and basic sciences. The graduates will learn basic skills necessary for problem solving, project design and develop practical plans to take advantage of the technical knowledge and various skills acquired. a) An ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, science and engineering.
b) An ability to design and conduct experiments, as well as to analyze and interpret data.
c) An ability to design a system, component, or process to meet desired needs.
e) An ability to identify, formulate and solve engineering problems.
2. Preparation for the profession – The graduates will get enough knowledge and skills to enable them to identify and solve problems that arise in professional practice, train them how to function as a team and develop their awareness of the ethical requirements of their profession. All this will guide them to acquire enough skills for leadership in their career path. d) An ability to function in teams.
