The Department of Basic Sciences Established at the Faculty of Science and Information Technology in 2013 and it includes (24) faculty members. The academic plan consists of (65) hours in the following areas: Information Technology, Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology. The Department provides the requirements of the university and the colleges, with a capacity of (643) students. There are 28 papers that had been published, by the academic staff of basic sciences department, in a peer reviewed international journals and conferences.
To be distinguished in the development and advancement of experiences in software engineering and in the promotion of its utilization as an effective tool of human development in the knowledge community while applying the accreditation and quality standards.
