The fourth alumni meeting of the Faculty of Business at Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan The Faculty of Business at Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan organized its fourth alumni meeting in the presence of the Dean of the Faculty, Professor Dr. Saad Ghaleb, the Deputy Dean, Dr. Ihab Al-Qirem, several members of the teaching and administrative staff, and Faculty graduates from previous years. This meeting came as an emphasis from the Deanship of the Faculty on the importance of strengthening communication between the Faculty and its graduates and providing the opportunity to learn about their achievements and display examples of their successes, as well as obtaining feedback from these graduates, in line with the performance development policies adopted by the Faculty. Dr. Saad highlighted a number of the Faculty’s achievements at the academic level and pointed out that the Faculty of Business constitutes a major attraction for students because it possesses specific specializations at the bachelor’s and master’s levels, and for the faculty members who work there who are experienced in the scientific and academic field. The meeting included presenting stories of the successes of previous graduates, which were mixed with emotions of nostalgia and pride in their university, which was the starting point for many successes in their professional lives. The meeting also included an extensive discussion between graduates and faculty members about their visions for strengthening the future relationship between graduates and their Faculty. The President of Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan, Professor Dr. Mohammad Al-Majali, honored the student Muhammad Bilal Abdel-Al on the occasion of winning first place in the Scientific Research Award for students of Jordanian universities, and the student Ahmed Majid Al-Khawaja for obtaining third place in the “Women’s Movement in Jerusalem” award for the year 2020, in the presence of the Vice President of the University, Prof. Dr. Tariq Al-Qirim, the University Council of Deans, and the Director of Public Relations, Mr. Ahmed Al-Abadi. Dr. Mohammad Al-Majali expressed his pride in the students for this victory, explaining that the university wants to provide the students with the life skills they need in their working lives on the practical level. Al-Majali stressed that the university, under its management and staff, including faculty and administrative staff, are keen to have students participate in extracurricular activities besides academic and practical education. The student Abdel-Al, one of the graduate students majoring in business administration, explained the importance of the scientific research award for students at Jordanian universities, which aims to create a spirit of scientific competition among student researchers to advance their research work, advance scientific research in Jordan, and improve the quality of its outputs, in addition to encouraging university students to strive for environmental development. Research and knowledge to enrich society with new researchers and distinguished scientific and creative research through which they can contribute to solving problems and obstacles at the national level to achieve comprehensive development. The student Al-Khawaja, one of the students majoring in management information systems, said that the goal of the “Women’s Movement in Jerusalem” award is to document the women’s movement since the beginning of the nineteenth century, because of the vital role the women’s movement in Jerusalem played. Abdel-Al and Al-Khawaja thanked the university administration, represented by its president, the dean of the Faculty of Business, and the faculty members for the moral support they provided to them. |
