The accounting profession enjoys high respect and recognition among professionals and workers across various sectors, especially in the fields of finance and business. It is indispensable in any work, whether governmental or private, and whether for-profit or charitable. Accounting fundamentally relies on the application of accounting standards approved by local and international professional bodies and organizations. Therefore, it is essential for those in this profession to remain constantly informed and thoroughly knowledgeable about all developments, standards, regulations, and guidelines.
At the Accounting Department at Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan, we aspire to be a hub for producing distinguished accountants in knowledge, ethics, and skills. We are supported by all available resources and everything that our beloved university and its leadership have provided in terms of material and human resources. The faculty members play a prominent and influential role in this, as they spare no effort in imparting knowledge, motivating students, and guiding them. Our goal is for the graduates of the department to possess a high level of employability for accounting positions offered by various sectors and organizations in the labor market, with a strong sense of professional affiliation and pride.
We also look forward to having a significant impact in the Accounting Department by promoting a culture of quality, actively contributing to obtaining program accreditations for both the undergraduate and master's programs in accounting, and offering opportunities for active student participation in various academic activities and events, in line with the department's vision and mission.

About :
The Accounting Department was established in 1993 and has been offering a bachelor's degree in accounting since its inception. The department is considered one of the most important and largest departments in the Faculty of Business. The department's council consists of faculty members who hold Ph.D. and/or master's degrees from distinguished universities in various accounting fields.
The department began offering a master's degree in accounting in 2013. It offers two undergraduate programs and one graduate program, covering a wide range of academic areas. These programs are designed to grant three degrees: a Bachelor's degree in English, a Bachelor's degree in Arabic, and a Master's degree in Accounting. The Accounting Department is keen on participating in conferences organized by the faculty, as well as local, regional, and international conferences.
