Meeting of the Dean of the Faculty of Business with New Students
The Faculty of Business organized a meeting with new students on Wednesday, 11/6/2024.
The Dean of the Faculty, Professor Dr. Abdul Razzaq Al-Shahadah, delivered a speech welcoming the new students and highlighting the importance of the Faculty of Business specializations in the current era. He urged students to take advantage of the training courses and extracurricular activities offered by the faculty, which enhance the acquisition of knowledge and skills required for the labor market.
He also encouraged students to utilize the resources available in the university library, including books, journals, and global databases. Additionally, he advised students to adhere to the academic advising plans when registering for semester courses and to follow the advice and guidance provided by academic advisors and department heads.
On the sidelines of the meeting, the Faculty of Business honored the top graduating students of the summer semester of the 2023/2024 academic year.
Symposium at Al-Zaytoonah University on "Digital Transformation and Fintech in Islamic Banks"
The Faculty of Business at Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan held a scientific symposium titled "Digital Transformation and Fintech in Islamic Banks," organized by the Department of Financial Technology under the supervision of the Dean of the Faculty, Professor Dr. Abdul Razzaq Al-Shahadah, and Professor Dr. Ayman Abdulmajid Al-Samadi, Head of the Financial Technology Department.
Dr. Ali Abu Al-Ezz, Director of the Internal Sharia Audit Department at the Jordan Islamic Bank, spoke at the symposium about the importance of Sharia auditing in the digital transformation of Islamic banks, highlighting challenges and possible solutions.
Mr. Yousef Ibrahim, Director of Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence, also discussed aspects of digital transformation and financial technology in Islamic banks, and how they can contribute to the development and enhancement of banking services.
The symposium witnessed great interaction from students, with many questions posed and scientific discussions held between the speakers and students, enriching the dialogue. Incentive prizes were distributed to participating students.
At the end of the symposium, the Dean of the Faculty delivered a speech thanking the guests and emphasizing the Faculty’s commitment to holding such symposiums that expose students to practical and applied developments in the field.
