About the Center
Entrepreneurship, creativity and innovation are terms increasingly associated with academic and economic developments at the local, regional and international levels in various sectors, including the higher education sector. These concepts are prominent means that contribute effectively to solving the most important social problems such as poverty and unemployment facing societies and governments, especially among young people and graduates of higher education institutions, as the number of graduates of Jordanian private and public higher education institutions reaches more than 85 thousand graduates annually.
The Jordanian labor market cannot adequately secure and create job opportunities for these large and increasing numbers. The weakness of the labor market in creating new job opportunities leads to increased poverty and unemployment, and this fact is one of the most important and difficult challenges facing societies and countries around the world.
Entrepreneurship and innovation centers with their branches such as "university business incubators" and "study and training centers" can address these challenges through many methods, strategies and tools that aim to transform university students from job seekers to job creators.
Encouraging and guiding students, faculty members and university staff to develop creative ideas and helping them implement those ideas effectively in the markets or within the university (internal entrepreneurship) will contribute significantly and directly to solving the problems of poverty and unemployment and improving the university's internal performance.
In line with these challenges and the general trend, Al-Zaytoonah University is working hard to promote the culture of entrepreneurship, creativity and innovation among students, faculty members and all its employees. The Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation was established to promote the culture of entrepreneurship and innovation at the university, encourage creative people to think creatively and provide facilities, services, knowledge and other matters related to entrepreneurship and innovation, in order to support creative university members in their entrepreneurial endeavors, professional independence and improve the university's internal performance.
