The Department of Basic Sciences was established at the Faculty of Science and Information Technology in 2013 and it includes (11) faculty members. The academic plan consists of (50) hours in the following areas: Information Technology, Mathematics, Chemistry, and Biology. The Department provides the requirements of the university and the colleges, with a capacity of (700) students. There are 66 papers that had been published, by the academic staff of the Basic Sciences Department, in peer-reviewed international journals and conferences.
