The department was established in 1994. It has 12 faculty members. Currently, the department has 319 enrolled students. Since the establishment, 19 classes have been graduated with 2122 students. The number of research papers by the teaching staff members up to this date has reached 109 papers published in refereed international journals and 32 papers published in international, Arab, and local conferences. The local and regional employment rate of its graduates has been 25% of the total number of graduates.

The most important accomplishments of the Department are as follows:
1. Updating the department’s course plan and education resources to suit the department’s vision.
2. Encouraging teaching staff members to conduct scientific research and publish in refereed scientific journals and international conferences.
3. Organizing a number of curricular and extracurricular activities for the purpose of communicating and interacting with the community and public and private organizations.

5 Employ and develop electronic learning, enhance educational tools and methods, regarding educational resources and technology, and use the latest references and equipment.
