Mathematics is the science of comprehending abstract structures when using logic and mathematical proofs. It is the backbone of most modern sciences that has contributed to the evolution of humanity, particularly, in physics, chemistry, engineering, and computer.
The department was established in 1993 where the student studies 133 credit hours in the bachelor’s program. The subjects of which are distributed in different fields of knowledge: Pure mathematics, applied mathematics, statics and probability, and methods of teaching mathematics. The MSc program in mathematics program has been established in 2020 where the student studies a total of 33 credit hours, and there are two paths within these programs: Thesis program and comprehensive exam program which allow the students to expand their knowledge of scientific research and the specialization they desire.
