The Hashemite University and Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan have signed a memorandum of understanding to establish a joint Ph.D. Program in Accounting, a national program, the first of its kind among Jordanian universities in order to realize cooperation between Jordanian Universities.
The President of The Hashemite University, Professor Kamal Bani- Hani and President of Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan Professor Turki Obaidat signed the MOU in the presence of vice president of HU Dr. Ali Al Karmi and vice president of ZUJ Dr. Mohammed Al-Majali.
Bani-Hani stressed the significance of this strategic partnership between the two leading Universities since Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan is one of the leading Universities nationwide. He welcomed the reinforcement of future cooperation in other programs according to the needs of local communities.
Obaidat, on his side, stressed the importance of this national program that reflects a shared vision amongst Universities. He added that this program will bring along huge success nationwide, and will enable competition with international accounting programs.
The MOU signing ceremony was also attended by the Dean of Faculty of Business at HU Dr. Abdalghafour Al-Zawahreh, the Director of Accounting Department at HU Dr. Fadi Al-Shyab at HU, The Dean of Faculty of Business at ZUJ Dr. Naser Yaseen in addition to the Director of Accounting Department Dr. Abdallah Attieh at ZUJ.
