The British Times Ranking (THE Impact Ranking) for the year 2023

Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan has achieved an advanced position and clear distinction in the British Impact Ranking, as this classification focuses on evaluating universities in the world according to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, which witnessed the presence of 16 Jordanian universities in its fifth edition for the year 2023, and the classification included 1,591 universities. Global from 112 countries. Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan ranked (601-800) globally, second among private universities, and third locally, compared to 2022, where it was ranked (801-1000), fourth among private universities, and fifth locally. This classification includes 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) emanating from the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, where universities are evaluated according to the performance of these universities in scientific research, education, and community service to achieve these goals. The British Impact Classification is based on selecting the four highest-rated goals out of the seventeen. A goal for each university. Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan also ranked first locally in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG1, SDG3, SDG7) as follows: SDG1: Reducing poverty, and is linked to the university’s contribution to reducing poverty at the university and community levels through discounts, grants, and donations provided by the university. The university achieved first place among private universities in achieving this goal. SDG3: Good health and well-being. This goal is linked to the health and psychological services provided by the university to students, workers, and the community, as well as scientific research supported by the university and published in journals specialized in diseases, medicines, and health in general. SDG7: Clean energy. This goal is concerned with the university’s support for research and scientific projects related to clean energy, policies and instructions related to energy, and the university’s role in spreading the culture of clean and renewable energy in society to reduce the rates of carbon emissions and pollution through projects implemented at the university such as the solar energy project and the charging project of the electric cars. Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan scholarship teaches the German language based on the agreement signed between Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan and the German Cultural Institute (Goethe, noting that the Technology Transfer Office in the Deanship of Scientific Research and Innovation contacted the German Cultural Institute (Goethe) agree regarding a price quote for German language courses and the placement of (20) college students such as pharmacy, nursing, engineering, technology, architecture, and design. Accordingly, the next session will be held on (09/11 - 28/12/2022), (3) days a week in person at the German Cultural Institute (Goethe) or (Online) via the Zoom platform for the first level (A1.1) with a subscription fee of (205 dinars plus (35) dinars for books = 240 dinars for each student (price quote attached), noting that the student needs to reach level (B1.2) (i.e. pass six stages) at least to work in Germany.


A scientific and international academic achievement for Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan

Within the classification issued by Stanford University in the United States for the year 2022, Dr. Ahmed Abdullah Al-Thanibat, Associate Professor in the Department of Software Engineering, and Dr. Shadi Mahmoud Al-Zoubi, Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science/College of Science and Information Technology, were selected among the list of the best (2%) of the world’s scientists for the year. 2022 out of (200,409) researchers from around the world and (118) Jordanian researchers. The list is based on the scientific citations of researchers and is based on several indicators, including citations from published research and their number, and Hirsch laboratories to measure the scientific productivity of researchers, based on the global SCOPUS database, which includes summaries and references from articles published in peer-reviewed academic journals and from multiple books and publications.
