The Graphic Design Department was established in the academic year 2001–2002 in order to meet the labor market’s need for qualified graphic designers. The department currently has 12 faculty members of various academic ranks, covering all areas of knowledge within the specialization. During the 2025–2026 academic year, the faculty published 34 research papers in peer-reviewed international journals. The number of undergraduate students enrolled in the department is 267. The department awards a bachelor’s degree upon the completion of 132 credit hours delivered fully in person. It has graduated 23 cohorts, with a total of more than 1,080 students earning a bachelor’s degree. Admission to the Master’s program began in the first semester of the 2021–2022 academic year. The program requires 33 credit hours and is also offered in person. One cohort of 11 students has graduated so far, while 30 other students are currently enrolled. The employment rate of the department’s graduates at the local and regional levels has reached approximately 90% of total graduates, reflecting the continuous demand for specialists in graphic design and graphics management. In addition, the department has introduced new study plans that incorporate Artificial Intelligence courses into both the Bachelor’s and Master’s programs, in alignment with global advancements in design technologies and content creation.
