I am pleased to welcome you to the Software Engineering Department, one of the key and dynamic departments within the Faculty of Science and Information Technology. Since its establishment, we have been dedicated to providing advanced academic programs that align with the evolving needs of the job market, aiming to prepare highly qualified professionals equipped with the scientific and practical skills necessary to meet the challenges of the digital age. The department takes pride in offering a Bachelor's program in Software Engineering, established in 2004, and a Master's program launched in 2016. Both programs reflect our commitment to delivering exceptional education that meets local and international accreditation and quality standards. Our department is home to a distinguished group of faculty members with extensive academic and research expertise, fostering a stimulating and exceptional educational and research environment. At the Software Engineering Department, we place great emphasis on developing students' skills and enhancing their capabilities in programming, artificial intelligence, and software engineering, keeping pace with rapid technological advancements. About :

The Bachelor of Software Engineering program was established in 2004, graduating 22 cohorts to date, with a total of 1,300 graduates holding a bachelor's degree. In 2016, the Master's program in Software Engineering was launched, producing 29 graduates so far. Currently, the program includes 20 faculty members across various academic ranks. In the field of scientific research, faculty members have published 232 papers, including 140 in peer-reviewed international journals and 92 presented at international, regional, and local conferences. Additionally, 20 papers have been published this year. The department plays an active role in advancing education, scientific research, and community service, particularly in the field of artificial intelligence. This is achieved through the adoption of modern curricula that align with market and societal needs. These curricula are developed in accordance with local and international accreditation and quality standards to ensure academic excellence. The department is committed to encouraging and supporting students to achieve academic and practical excellence in artificial intelligence. Furthermore, it continuously works on enhancing and utilizing the scientific, practical, and research capabilities of faculty members, strengthening the department's academic standing, and contributing to sustainable development.
