In an atmosphere of friendship, sportsmanship and cooperation between the College of Applied Medical Sciences, Department of Physical Therapy and the College of Pharmacy, a friendly football match was held between the faculty members of the two colleges on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at 4:30 PM. The atmosphere was full of friendship and love among everyone, with a promise of more cooperation between the two colleges in many fields, God willing.
Cerebral Palsy Symposium (1-11-2025)
Among the activities of attending the Cerebral Palsy Symposium and the distinguished attendance of students from the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences, Department of Physical Therapy, Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan, with Dr. Imran Al-Hawatmeh, the supervisor of the day, and under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Samah Hosni, Dean of the Faculty.
"The Knights of Arab Toxicology Cup" (24-29/10/2025)
Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan participated in the "Knights of Arab Toxicology Cup" competition, held in three stages in Dammam and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from October 24-29, 2025. This competition took place on the sidelines of the "Sixth International Conference on Pharmacy and Toxicology (KSAPT) 2025," organized by the Saudi Pharmaceutical Society in cooperation with the Saudi Ministry of Health. The conference was held under the umbrella of the "Global Summit for Excellence in Forensic Sciences," which took place in Riyadh from October 27-29, 2025. Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan was represented by Dr. Osama Abu Sara from the Faculty of Pharmacy (supervisor), student Laith Qais (pharmacy major), student Bayan Ayad (nursing major), and student Nada Shehata (physical therapy major). It is worth noting that the Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan team was one of five Jordanian universities participating in this year's competition.
Ma'in Hot Springs Workshop (12-11-2025)
The Department of Physical Therapy at the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences conducted a workshop at Ma'in Hot Springs entitled "The Role of Hydrotherapy in Improving Women's Health." The workshop aimed to raise awareness among attendees about the importance of physical therapy, particularly hydrotherapy, in preventing postpartum complications, reducing complications and illnesses in women during menopause, and encouraging natural childbirth in water. Students from the Department of Physical Therapy at Al-Zaytoonah University participated in the workshop, along with members of the local community and the Ministry of Health. A member of the Jordanian Parliament was also present. All attendees praised the effective participation of the Department of Physical Therapy at Al-Zaytoonah University and its role in spreading community awareness.

Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan Hosts Second Session of the Physiotherapy Licensing Exam
Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan hosted the second session of the Physiotherapy Licensing Exam, under the supervision of the Jordanian Ministry of Health. A team from the Ministry, including the Head of the Health Professions Licensing Department and the Head of the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Department, was present.
Approximately 400 graduates from various Jordanian universities participated in the exam, which was held in two sessions in the university's computer labs. These labs were equipped with the latest technology to provide an ideal testing environment that ensured accuracy and integrity in evaluating the candidates' performance.
Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan's hosting of this exam reflects its commitment to supporting health and applied education in the Kingdom and its dedication to ongoing cooperation with various state institutions, particularly the Ministry of Health, to contribute to preparing and qualifying distinguished medical professionals who meet the demands of the job market.
Through this hosting, the university also emphasized its high level of preparedness and its commitment to utilizing its academic and technological capabilities to serve the local community and the health sector, in line with its vision of promoting quality and excellence in applied university education.

Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan Organizes a Free Medical Day in Al-Muwaqqar District
Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan organized a comprehensive free medical day at Umm Batma Secondary School for Boys in Al-Muwaqqar District. The event was held in partnership with the Faculty of Pharmacy, the Faculty of Nursing, the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences, and the University Health Center, along with a number of physicians from both the public and private sectors. The event took place on Friday, November 21, 2025, and was attended by the University's Vice President, Professor Dr. Tariq Al-Qarm, the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Professor Dr. Alaa Al-Hasban, the Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, Dr. Hassan Abu Al-Ruz, and the Dean of the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences, Professor Dr. Samah Husni, in addition to several faculty and administrative staff members.
The medical day witnessed a large turnout from residents of the area across all age groups. Medical staff provided a full range of free health services, including medical examinations, specialized consultations, and the distribution of medications, as well as health awareness sessions covering various topics. Some cases requiring advanced care were referred to nearby health centers and hospitals to ensure they received appropriate treatment. The participating medical clinics offered a variety of services, including: diabetes screenings for men and women, blood pressure checks, blood tests, internal medicine, alternative medicine, dentistry, physiotherapy for men and women, specialized pediatric physiotherapy, orthopedics, cardiac surgery, general medicine, and dermatology. A total of 460 citizens were treated.
Several specialists participated in the medical day, including: Dr. Ibrahim Al-Sharif (alternative medicine), Dr. Khaled Al-Akka (internal medicine), Dr. Rana Mufid Al-Kayali (family medicine), Dr. Hassan Al-Jawhari (neurology), Dr. Hassan Al-Qaisi (orthopedics), Dr. Ahmed Bazid (dentistry), Dr. Ali Abu Rumman (cardiac surgery), Dr. Muhannad Al-Zagha (general medicine), and Dr. Maysoun Marai (dermatology).
The physiotherapy clinic team, comprised of faculty members from the College of Applied Medical Sciences, and the blood pressure and diabetes screening team, made up of nursing students, also participated. They provided their services within a professional and organized environment that ensured high-quality care and a smooth service delivery for beneficiaries. This medical day was organized as part of Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan's efforts to enhance its social responsibility and solidify its role in serving the local community by providing high-quality healthcare services that contribute to raising health awareness and facilitating citizens' access to medical care. The organizers also affirmed that the university is committed to implementing such initiatives in various regions of the Kingdom, in line with its mission to support the health sector and promote a culture of volunteerism among its students, faculty, and medical staff.

The reception of two students of Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan who wear prostheses in the Splint Material Laboratory and a dialogue session was held about the life of prosthetics owners and the difficulties they face.
