The Quality Assurance Office in the College of Nursing was established simultaneously with the start of the quality assurance approach adopted by the university in early 2011. The office was prepared and equipped with the necessary communication equipment, storage and processing means, and connected to the university's internal network to serve as the main headquarters for documenting and keeping quality assurance files in the college. The assistant dean for quality assurance and members of the faculty who are distinguished in the college for their activity and giving. The office represents the link between the committee responsible for the quality assurance file in the college and its components such as academic departments, governing councils, working committees in the college, departments and all employees. The office works to follow up the quality assurance file in the college by saving the documents, procedures and forms it issues, and distributes them to all concerned, each according to his specialization and field of work.


Tasks

  • Preparing the College Quality Manual, procedures, forms, and quality assurance system documents and ensuring their proper documentation; distributing them to all staff members in the college; continuously developing and updating them; monitoring the proper use of procedures and forms; ensuring the effectiveness of procedures, good performance, and quality outcomes in the college; and conducting periodic audits for all staff members, councils, administrations, and committees.

  • Carrying out internal audits on the college’s components and staff to identify cases of non-conformity and work to eliminate them.

  • Active participation in the meetings of the committee responsible for quality assurance in the college, documenting its meetings and following up on its decisions, and submitting periodic reports to it.

  • Active participation in the meetings of the Executive Committee for Academic Quality Assurance at the university, receiving guidance and instructions from it, submitting periodic reports to it, and cooperating with it to ensure the implementation of the systems, regulations, and quality standards applied at the university, while fully adhering to all directives, decisions, and instructions issued by it.

  • Working to promote a culture of quality within the college among staff and students through meetings, seminars, and periodic studies, as well as participating in workshops and quality-related events both inside and outside the university.

  • Supervising and monitoring all wall displays, publications, and brochures announcing the adoption of the quality system in the college, and ensuring the clear and public declaration of the college’s vision, mission, and objectives to all staff and students.

  • Continuously and periodically seeking the opinions of specialists, staff members, faculty, students, and segments of the local community regarding the procedures, curricular and scientific activities, and extracurricular activities carried out in the college.
