The Faculty of Engineering and Technology at Al-Zaytuna University hosted an annual celebration organized by students to mark the global membership of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). The day featured workshops, technical competitions, lectures from experts, and presentations of innovative projects, all aimed at stimulating creativity and developing students' practical and technical skills.

In its ongoing pursuit of academic excellence and the enhancement of global quality standards in engineering education, Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan welcomed a delegation from the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) as part of the process of renewing international accreditation for the programs offered by the university's Faculty of Engineering and Technology. The delegation comprised a select group of international experts and evaluators specializing in ensuring the quality of engineering education. The preliminary results of the evaluation process were presented during an official meeting held at the university's headquarters, attended by the university president, Professor Mohammad Al-Majali; the vice president, Professor Tariq Al-Qarm; the dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Professor Yousef Jaradat; and members of the faculty. The visit included an evaluation of the Civil Engineering and Infrastructure, Electrical/Communications and Computer Engineering, Electrical/Power and Control Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering programs. The ABET delegation commended the advanced academic level of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, its faculty and administrative staff, the students' performance and projects, and the success of the visit. Professor Al-Majali expressed his pride in the progress achieved by the college in all its departments, noting that the teams in the four programs had made great efforts in developing study plans, modernizing laboratories, and improving learning environments, in accordance with the latest international standards in engineering education, which contributes to enhancing the opportunities of the college's graduates to engage in the local and international labor market.

The Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology at Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan organized a meeting with the faculty and technical staff. The meeting began with a speech by the Dean, Professor Dr. Yousef Jaradat, who welcomed the attendees at the start of the 2024-2025 academic year. He also welcomed the new faculty members who recently joined the faculty, emphasizing the faculty's commitment to providing a stimulating academic environment that enables students to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to practice engineering with high efficiency across the various specializations within the faculty. The Dean then began the meeting by discussing the visit of the ABET accreditation delegation. He presented several points related to the visit, including: - Updates regarding the evaluation of the four programs submitted by the coordinators for renewal of ABET accreditation at the faculty. - The Dean also discussed the visit's schedule and stressed the importance of faculty members following up on their assigned tasks and staying informed about the committee's evaluation. The Vice Dean, Dr. Ahmed Manasrah, presented details of the Self-Report (SSR) form, anticipated observations during the visit, and potential structured questions for the evaluation team interviews. The Dean then addressed questions and inquiries from the attendees and urged everyone to actively participate in the visit and respond to any requests from the evaluation team.

The College of Engineering and Technology organized a meeting with the industry boards of the college's departments that have applied for American accreditation (ABET). These departments are: Civil Engineering and Infrastructure, Mechanical Engineering, and Electrical Engineering with its three programs: Communications and Computer Engineering, Power and Control Engineering, and Intelligent Systems and Communications. The meeting took place on Thursday, November 13, 2025. The meeting was attended by a group of specialized engineers and experts from various engineering companies, in addition to the college's deanship and department heads. Several issues were discussed, most importantly: the objectives of the engineering programs adopted by the college, as well as the curricula for these programs, with the aim of developing them and keeping pace with the requirements of the local, regional, and international labor market. This is to ensure that the college produces highly qualified engineers with advanced engineering skills that enable them to thrive in the ever-evolving engineering job market, which is constantly evolving to keep pace with artificial intelligence in all disciplines. The Dean of the College of Engineering and Technology expressed his thanks to the attending experts and to the faculty and administrative staff of the university for their role in making the meeting a success.

Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan participated in the “Makers 2025” forum, organized by the Crown Prince Foundation as part of its “Makers Space” program, with broad participation from across the Kingdom’s governorates. The forum served as a national platform bringing together pioneers in creativity, design, and digital manufacturing, contributing to the strengthening of the innovation and entrepreneurship environment in Jordan.
