The Faculty of Engineering and Technology Quality Assurance Office (FET-QAO) plays a key role in ensuring and maintaining quality learning, teaching, curricula, research and administration through developing, implementing and reporting of their continuous improvement. Achieving this role supports the faculty’s vision “Towards a competitive faculty committed to excellence in teaching, innovative research, entrepreneurship and community service” to become a distinguished faculty in learning and research, and in promoting ethics which ultimately impacts positively on the development of the community. FET-QAO Foundations The FET-QAO has several bases, characteristics and purposes as follows: 1. Is ongoing process and part of the university’s strategies for continuous improvement and excellence ensuring highest quality learning, teaching, curricula, research and academic operations and standards considered a shared responsibility, collaborative and empowering involving the above mentioned operations; 2. Focuses on input, processes, outcomes and impacts of all academic and administrative operations at the faculty level; 3. Is designed to meet accreditation requirements; 4. Is designed to promote institutional and academic standards of the university; 5. Is transparent, systematic, rigorous and fairness; and 6. To guarantee documenting, monitoring, reviewing and periodic evaluating of academic and administrative procedures at the faculty level.


Tasks

  • Distribute all forms of the faculty quality assurance procedures to the stakeholders making sure to fill those forms for documentation;

  • Follow up and conduct periodic auditing at all level of the hierarchy of the faculty with the stakeholder conforming to use correct forms

  • Carry out internal auditing to detect non-compliance cases and fix them

  • Participate in the follow-up of implementing the resolutions of the faculty quality assurance committee and to provide periodic reports and archive them;

  • Disseminate quality assurance culture at the stakeholders via meeting, seminars and periodic studies;

  • Oversee on all generated publication, including brochures, pamphlets, etc. to deliver all lessons pertaining quality assurance to the stakeholders effectively

  • Conduct various surveys on stakeholders, and community groups regarding; alumni, employers, facilities assessment, exit, stakeholders opinions, academic and extracurricular activities, to name a few.
