The Classroom Teacher Department is one of the departments of the Faculty of Arts, and this department began receiving its students with the beginning of the establishment of Al-Zaytoonah Jordan University in (2005), and it is considered one of the oldest departments of the faculty, and due to the need of the local market for class teachers, the introduction of this specialization came in response to the educational development plan in Jordan in the year (1987) which emphasized the importance of this specialization in teaching students of the first basic cycle (from the first basic - the fifth basic), and this cycle forms the basic basis in the educational-learning process on which the success and progress of the student depends on the subsequent stages. Since its establishment, this department has sought to prepare distinguished teachers in both the knowledge and behavioral aspects, through programs based on theoretical, practical and skillful frameworks, aiming to achieve high-quality outputs that keep pace with global developments in the field of teaching and learning processes, and the department also aims to build the personality of the student teacher based on An integrated one, in line with the educational philosophy that emphasizes the physical, mental, psychological and social aspects. In order to achieve the lofty, positive goals of the Jordanian educational system through a distinguished elite of the faculty and administration members in the department who always strive to achieve distinction between local, regional and international universities, under the educational slogan.


About :

The department was established in 2003. There are currently 10 faculty members employed in the Department. The number of students is 565 students. Faculty members have published 20 research papers in international refereed journals in 2024-2025.

Achievements:
  • The Department obtained accreditation for the Classroom Teacher program from the Higher Education Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission for the academic year 2024-2025.
