The role of a pharmacist in promoting a healthy lifestyleThe Faculty of Pharmacy at Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan organized a distinctive awareness initiative entitled" The role of a pharmacist in promoting a healthy lifestyle", targeting students of a number of schools, including the academy and schools of al-Farouk visions and schools of celebrities for science and knowledge, within the framework of the faculty's endeavor to spread health awareness and introduce students to the basics of integrated healthy life and healthy daily habits that contribute to maintaining their health and vitality.
The initiative included a series of interactive lectures presented by students of the Faculty of Pharmacy under the supervision of Dr. Rawan Huwaitat and Dr. Razan Abu Jaber, during which they addressed basic health topics such as the importance of adequate sleep and its role in promoting concentration and proper growth, the harms of energy drinks and their impact on the nervous system and the heart, in addition to the importance of balanced nutrition in strengthening immunity and maintaining physical and mental activity. During the meetings, they also highlighted the proper health habits to be followed, while alerting to the wrong practices that may negatively affect the health of students and their daily behavior.
This initiative comes as part of the continuous efforts of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan to enhance the community role of the pharmacist and spread the health culture among various groups of society, and to consolidate the concept of health awareness as one of the components of a balanced life. The initiative was met with a wide positive interaction from students and teachers in the participating schools, who praised its awareness-raising content and its interactive and purposeful style.

Principles of Pharmaceutical Registration and Applicable Legislation in JordanThe College of Pharmacy at Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan held a training course entitled “Principles of Pharmaceutical Registration and Applicable Legislation in Jordan”, presented by pharmacist Esraa Al-Zoubi, Advisor to the Director General for Drug Affairs at the General Food and Drug Administration, in the presence of Dr. Ala Alhusban, Dean of the College, Vice Dean Dr. Mohammed Al-Wahsh, Course Coordinator Dr. Nimr Al-Khatib, and a number of students from the College.The course covered a comprehensive presentation on the basics of pharmaceutical registration in Jordan, including the organizational and procedural details required for the registration of medicines, in addition to reviewing the relevant local and international legislation. The course comes as part of the College of Pharmacy's efforts to enhance the professional knowledge of its students and prepare them to engage in the pharmaceutical labor market with high efficiency. Dr. Ala Alhusban, Dean of the College of Pharmacy, stressed the importance of these activities in deepening the understanding of pharmacy specialization, pointing out the college's keenness to equip students with the necessary skills to keep pace with the rapid changes in the labor market.
College of Pharmacy organizes a welcome meeting for new studentsThe College of Pharmacy at Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan organized a welcome meeting for new students as an opportunity to enhance communication between students and the administration. Vice Dean Dr. Mohammed Al-Wahsh urged students to integrate with their colleagues to understand the academic system and benefit from their university experience, stressing the importance of diligence and hard work from the beginning. Dr. Al-Wahsh pointed out that the university provides comprehensive support for them through the presence of a distinguished faculty, in addition to training courses, workshops and conferences. He also discussed the role of the student exchange and scholarship system in supporting distinguished students, reflecting the college's commitment to nurturing its graduates even after graduation. For her part, Dr. Wassan Jarrar stressed the importance of training courses in preparing students for the labor market, pointing out how to refine personal skills and develop abilities to increase self-confidence. The meeting was concluded by opening the floor for students' questions and interventions, which contributed to creating an interactive and fruitful dialog.
Al-Zaytoonah participates in an awareness conference on breast cancerAl-Zaytoonah University of Jordan participated in a breast cancer awareness conference titled “Resilience in Pink”, which was held at Al-Bashir Hospital. The conference aimed to spread awareness about the importance of early detection and support for those affected by the disease. During the conference, recent research in the treatment of breast cancer was highlighted, showing significant progress in the field and emphasizing the importance of supporting scientific research. Faculty members from the College of Pharmacy gave awareness lectures during the scientific day at the Women and Children's Hospital at Al Bashir Hospital. The university also honored Dr. Ali Al-Abdalat, Director of Al-Bashir Hospital, and Dr. Jihad Al-Maani, Director of the Oncology and Therapeutic Radiology Hospital, in recognition of their efforts in promoting awareness and serving the community. The participation of universities in these initiatives contributes to empowering the community to effectively address public health challenges and promote health awareness among individuals.
Best Training and Drug Storage Methods for New PharmacistsThe Deanship of the College of Pharmacy organized a lecture entitled: “Best Training and Drug Storage Methods for New Pharmacists”, presented by Dr. Abdullah Al-Lomzi in the presence of the Dean of the College, Dr. Ala Alhusban, the Vice Dean, Dr. Mohammed Al-Wahsh, and a number of faculty members.The lecture dealt with the latest methods of training and preservation of medicines, with a focus on developing the basic skills of new pharmacists. The lecture received great interaction from the attendees, reflecting everyone's interest in developing these necessary skills in the field of pharmacy.This event comes within the framework of the college's keenness to train students and enhance their practical capabilities in order to contribute to the development of their scientific and professional career
A field visit to the National Center for Addiction RehabilitationThe Deanship of the College of Pharmacy “Pharmaceutical Training Committee” organized a field visit for students to the National Center for Addiction Treatment under the supervision of Dr. Hamza Abumansour, Dr. Alaa Hammad and supervisors Zain Shamout, Alaa Al-Tamimi, Hassan Al-Absi and Zeina al-Aboushi. About 60 students from the fourth and fifth years participated in the visit, which aimed to raise awareness about the role of treatment centers in confronting addiction, and deepen the students' practical understanding of the treatment methods used in these centers
