The Faculty of Science and Information Technology is considered a lighthouse of knowledge and a pioneering edifice of the faculties of Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan. In fact, it plays an essential and fundamental role in the fields of science, information technology, scientific research, and community service and development. Since its establishment, the Faculty has been expanding, growing, and adapting to the ever-changing circumstances. It includes six undergraduate programs: Mathematics, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security, and Physics, in addition to three M.Sc. Programs, which comprise: Computer Science, Software Engineering, and Mathematics. New additional programs are currently passing through the planning stage including the M.Sc. in Data Science. The Faculty employs a group of distinguished faculty members who are highly qualified, talented, experienced, and competent.
The faculty members of the Faculty conduct various scientific research on different topics of the latest scientific findings, in cooperation with local and international research teams. This scientific research plays an important role in serving the community and introducing our students to various technological innovations that aim to enhance their position, which is reached by our programs, and which is the most contemporary till date.
The Faculty of Science and Information Technology at the Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan is confident that it will become a leading faculty locally, regionally and globally in the fields of education, scientific research, and development in all of these vital disciplines.
The Faculty regularly holds an international scientific conference, which is indexed in Scopus and IEEE databases, in partnership with many local and international institutions. This conference attracted many scientific researchers and scientists in the various fields of information technology from across the globe.
Further, the Faculty derives its vision and mission from the university’s vision, which is derived from the vision of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Consequently, the Faculty seeks to produce creative and ambitious generations of graduates to serve an ambitious nation who are willing to develop a prosperous economy and create a vital society within the academic environment.
