Bridging Foundations and Rules
Students holding a diploma from within Jordan:
  • Students holding a community college diploma from Jordan and passing the comprehensive exam with a score of at least 68% are eligible to bridge to similar majors, with the exception of pharmacy, engineering, and veterinary medicine majors, where the score is at least 70%.

  • Students holding a three-year or four-year community college diploma (not covered by the comprehensive exam system) are eligible to bridge to similar majors, provided they take the qualifying exam held by Al-Balqa University for the purpose of bridging and pass with a score of at least 68%. This is with the exception of students wishing to bridge to pharmacy or engineering majors, where the score is at least 70%.

  • Students with special needs who pass the intermediate university certificate exam (comprehensive exam) with a score of at least 65% are eligible to apply for bridge to similar majors.

  • The credits taken by the student in the diploma are accredited according to the decisions of the Higher Education Council.

  • Bridging is not permitted for students admitted to community colleges, as an exception to the high school branch requirement of the general policy for admission to intermediate colleges.

Jordanian students who hold a diploma from outside Jordan:
  • They may be admitted in accordance with the decisions of the Higher Education Council in similar specializations, provided they pass the qualifying exam held by Al-Balqa' Applied University for bridging purposes.

Non-Jordanian students who hold a diploma from outside Jordan:
  • They may be admitted in accordance with the decisions of the Higher Education Council in similar specializations, provided that these degrees qualify them to continue their university education at the bachelor's level in their home countries.
