Preparing draft regulations related to graduate studies affairs.

Submitting recommendations to the University Curriculum Committee regarding new or revised study plans.

Verifying that graduate students have fulfilled all graduation requirements and submitting a recommendation to the Council of Deans for their graduation.

Monitoring the evaluation of the teaching process in graduate studies and submitting periodic report results to the University President.

Submitting recommendations to the Council of Deans regarding amendments to the regulations governing graduate studies.

Preparing the annual budget proposal for the Deanship.

Considering matters referred to it by the Dean or the President of the University.

Approving the research proposal plans submitted by graduate students in the university’s faculties.

Endorsing the selection of supervisors for graduate research theses.

Approving the formation of thesis defense committees and setting the dates for thesis defenses.

Submitting recommendations to the Council of Deans for the awarding of academic degrees.
