This file summarizes the scope of the scientific activities carried out at Al-Zaytoonah University during the past three academic years (2010-2012), and falls in line with the general necessary specific and structure required by the accreditation of higher education commission in order to increase the capacity of the University and includes three items and specify actions which ensure the adherence of Al-Zaytoonah University in order to achieve standards and abide by the instructions and the legislation in force and absence of any violations on the University in accordance with its mission, vision and goals through three main areas include: academic excellence, scientific research and international cooperation, and community service.
Statistical Profile of the University
- AL-Zaytoonah University of Jordan, is one of the national private higher education institutions. The University was founded in 1993 and after more than two decades, the number of students has reached (8000) students, studying in (7) colleges that offer (29) academic programs, including (25) on the Bachelor level and (4) on the Master level. To date, the faculty members have reached (334) members, (260) of them are Doctorates recipients (31% of which are females), distributed as follows: (25) are Full Professors, (50) Associate Professor and (185) are Assistant Professors and (74) hold Master degree recipients.
- ِِِThe University forms an important anchor in thought industry and meets the challenges of modernization, technological and cognitive development and communication revolution based on scientific heritage, values and humanitarian principles. The University was able to build its position as one of the first national universities not only locally or regionally, but even exceeded that in reaching some of its graduates advanced positions in their countries.
- Diversity among faculty members, their qualifications and experience ensures continuous improvement in their expertise and performance, has led to effective exercise of their responsibilities and professional development strategies. The university seeks to employ professors from outside, whether they are university professors or have doctoral degrees, master’s or practitioners who work in state institutions or the private sector and recruit them.

- Al-Zaytoonah is keen to show diversity among its faculty members. Although, priority is given to Jordanians, the University in the absence of availability, gives particular attention to employ from the Arab brotherhood and share work for their participation in the development processes of learning, technological capabilities, communication and contact skills.

- The university give the opportunity to its outstanding students and other Universities graduates to pursue graduate studies and complete their Masters and PhD. deployed to the best and renounced universities. The University has been keen since establishment to care for its sons to keep the momentum to present their experiences and gave scholarship program at the University special priority and attention. It was for the expansion of the University’s programs, a special look towards its strategy through preparation of the five-year plan to include a number of delegates rewards and more than what has been offered to date, noting that the number of delegates the university since its inception amounted to thirty-three delegates, some (twelve) are still at school earning higher Degrees in esteemed European, American, Canadian and Australian universities.
- The university offers an educational system for students based on the American credit hours system. The university is considered to be a national Jordanian University, took a regional dimension over the past twenty years with ambition to expand and touch upon the international dimension.
- The university infrastructure integrates and include colleges, research and services centers, and remain a leader in providing high quality education focusing on the market needs and outputs relevant to the community.
- The university and its programs achieve the highest quality levels in accordance with local accreditation standards accepted regionally and internationally. In accordance with its aspirations and in line with its mission, vision and goals, the University objectives ensures its commitment to achieve advancement of the quality of education, and higher education in particular
- The university contains an infrastructure and designed facilities (including classrooms, teaching and research laboratories, and computer facilities in addition to automation of all student services, including electronic registration, and containment of the Website of all information and curricula and study plans, exams .. etc). The infrastructure has been adapted to meet the special needs of education and learning programs offered by the university, in order to provide a safe and healthy environment for a high-quality education
- Students at the university enjoy means of access to a wide variety of educational resources, including the excellent Library on campus as well as reference books and electronic databases and periodicals with assistance to obtain the required materials. As for the associated library facilities and technology making, it easy to access information to support the learning processes. The use of the facilities are monitored and used surveys to assist in planning for improvement. Computer technology and research equipment used by faculty and students are also used and provide appropriate services associated with them
- Financial resources and services are available for the development of facilities and programs, and are managed efficiently in line with the requirements of the programs and institutional priorities. The University also used effective systems for development of the budget within the available resources in addition to the accountability and effective institutional oversight of risk management
- The university follows a rational governance that manages the relationship between its employees based on instructions issued by the boards of councils in addition to Jordanian Universities Act and regulations of the University of Jordan and instructions set forth by the Deans Council of Zaytoonah University
- In a follow-up meeting with EBSCO to nine private universities, records indicate that based on the audit report and use of the library on campus as well as search for reference books and databases and periodicals, researchers at Al-Zaytoonah university (faculty, staff and students) ranked first, among the nine universities during the period between January and December of 2012
- Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan has largely realized the importance of research and its active role in the development of human knowledge and its need for progress of society nations. As part of the philosophy and mission in supporting and promoting research, the University has entrusted special diligence to scientific research and founded the "Deanship of Scientific Research and Graduate Studies" at the beginning of the 2006. The deanship is responsible for organizing, supervising, promoting and supporting academic research, being the means for vast development and technological advancement. The role that the Deanship has played in augmenting and expanding human knowledge was, however, recognized through high demands to persistently seek ways and new endeavors to encourage, develop, promote, broaden the base of cooperation and support scientific activities in various fields both locally and internationally. The deanship has largely concentrated, carefully considered modernizing and developing its tools to include interdisciplinary research with emphasis on integrated and comprehensive tracks in all disciplines. The deanship has identified its mission and tasks under the instructions of graduate studies requirements approved by the Council of higher Education Accreditation. The Deanship has developed a top priority to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of graduate programs offered by different colleges, and raise together scientific research for both students and faculty members in order to consolidate the university as a center of excellence, and thus improve its
