Departments of Basic Sciences

Being established in 2019, the Department of Basic Sciences (Humanities and Scientific) (with its new name) has undertaken the task of teaching the obligatory and optional university requirements and the requirements of the Faulty of Arts, namely: Islamic culture, national education, Entrepreneurship and innovation, communication skills in Arabic, communication skills in English, leadership and social responsibility, life skills, development and environment, first aid, human civilization, sports, and health. , digital culture, remedial computer skills, remedial Arabic language, basics of psychology, basics of the German language, sciences of the Holy Qur’an and hadith, the modern history of Jordan, Understanding of the Arabic text, principles of grammar and morphology, teaching methods and approaches, basics of the English language, English language II and skills of dialogue and listening.

The teaching process of the basic science courses (humanities and sciences) is a vital requirement for it is a significant pillar of culture in any society due to the values and standards it offers that enter into the core of the individual’s personality. Accordingly, the courses of the Department of Basic Sciences (Humanities and Scientific) from this point of view are practical, serving to guide and educate integrated capable of building the positive personality of the student with an effective impact on the life of the nation, its present, and its future.

To teach these courses, it is necessary to use the approaches and methods that aim to crystallize a special philosophy, clarifying the position of the individual, along with the society, regarding contemporary events around them, as well as the society’s view of past events. Teaching the courses of the department is constructed on methods depending on induction and analysis to clarify the true meaning of these events and phenomena, and therefore explain the direction in which society is heading in the future.
