Iraqi Students Introductory Meeting at Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan

Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan President, Professor Turki Obaidat met Iraqi students in the induction meeting organized by Foreign Student Division, at the Deanship of Student Affairs.

Obaidat, elaborated that this ceremony reflects the university’s role and interests of foreign students, who represents 28% of students from 31 different Arab and foreign nationalities. He went further to stress the importance of engaging them in the student body while maintaining their privacy.

He also pointed out that this age is indeed the age of quality and competitiveness; therefore the university puts students up in the front and treats all student with equality. Furthermore, the university takes   into consideration their circumstances and bears respect to their cultures. Due to that, the university ensured the necessity of presenting them in the student’s council, and the deanship of student’s affairs receives foreign students and helps them overcome problems they might face.

Obaidat, called for more harmony, cooperation and compassion between Iraqi students and foreign students for the benefit of their countries under these difficult times.

Representative of Iraqi Community in the university, Mr. Mustafa Al-Azawi thanked the University for providing an adequate environment for foreign student and for merging them in the student body.

At the end of the ceremony, which was attended by many Iraqi community members, students presented several sections including musical, poetic and cultural contests.
