Program Vision

The Arabic Department looks for excellency and pioneer in preparing students that are able to analyze, discuss subjectively the characteristics, aspect s, and progress of the Arabic Literature throughout ages. In addition to comparing the characteristics of literary types, their stylistic patterns in old and modern Arabic literature.


Program Mission and Objectives:

  1. Focusing on education and active learning, as well as using news techniques in education.
  2. Promoting the principle of self-sustainable, lifelong learning of learners.
  3. Developing the skills of scientific research in understanding the structure of the society, its tasks, and solving social problems on scientific base.
  4. Providing students with advanced educational skills that contribute to building their personalities and strengthening their role in serving the university and the society.

Main knowledge

MK1

Categorizing phonological, morphological, syntactical, and semantic knowledge into its different kinds in the lingual lesson.

Discussing the efforts of the Arab scholars in linguistics in terms of its various levels, terms, and schools.

Clarifying the successive historical phases of Arabic Literature.

Identifying the specific heritage sources in both language and literature as well as using them well.

Using the syntactical (structural) rules in writing and speaking very well for the media and education tasks.

Appling the technical characteristics of the historical phases in Arabic Literature.

Activating the role of arts: theatre, story ,and novel in enhancing the value of dialogue and good communication with students.

Using the secrets of rhetoric in Arabic Literature and showing the inimitable of the Holy Quran.

Using the aspects of speech, the stylistics, and the semantics in understanding the Quran text and the literary texts as well. In addition to explaining types of metaphors.
