Program vision :

Fostering entrepreneurship and competitiveness both locally and internationally in the preparation of teachers for the first three primary grades by offering distinguished, quality-driven teaching. This approach is designed to equip students with the necessary skills to keep pace with the latest developments in teacher education.  


Program mission and objectives:

    1. To ensure alignment between the learning outcomes of the major and the specifications of Level 7 (knowledge, skills, and competencies) within the National Qualifications Framework.
    2. To integrate and creatively utilize modern information technology in the learning and teaching processes, aiming for more effective and efficient education that fully meets learners’ needs.
    3. To facilitate genuine professional development in the field of teacher preparation, which will positively influence their educational practices after graduation and during their teaching careers.
    4. To enhance students’ proficiency in employing modern teaching methodologies and advanced assessment techniques effectively.
    5. To promote the principle of sustainable self-learning and to highlight learners’ creativity in response to global changes, through the application of diverse teaching/learning strategies.
    6. To empower learners to assume responsibility and make decisions regarding the development of innovative solutions to potential future challenges.

MK1

Understanding of the educational and psychological theories, principles, and concepts relevant to the major.

Knowledge of the major pedagogical and evaluative strategies of teaching, including its modern methodologies.

Mastery of the educational and psychological needs and developmental characteristics of primary-stage students.

Basic skills

MS1

Creation and organization of a safe, engaging learning environment that respects individual differences and aligns with students’ inclinations, abilities, and learning styles.

Application of teaching strategies, methodologies, and assessment strategies, along with cognitive capabilities and information technologies that complement them.

Design, implementation, and evaluation of educational activities in accordance with learning strategies and outcomes.
